Back to Januaba March 17, 2014

March 17, 2014
This has been a very rewarding week.

This week we had a Zone meeting and President came to watch. After he complimented us on our wonderful meeting. I gave a training on how to Mark a baptismal date and how to follow up on the date. It was a very good meeting, and it was good to have the Pres there too.  After the meeting President went to Janaúba to divide with the missionaries. Later that night we called him and he told us that Janaúba needed another division Urgently. so we went the next day.

Divisions

It was rather odd, walking in an area that i had walked so much. A strange feeling of deja vu. I was even recognizing the dogs and the homeless guys and calling them by name even. The best part of the day was when we went to visit one of their investigators with a baptismal date for Sunday. This investigator, (who was one of my former investigators) is the sister of my recent convert Felipe. We went to visit here and guess who helped us teach....Felipe. We were teaching the plan of salvation and he taught a good part of it. He is preparing to serve a mission here at the end of the year. One of the highlights of my mission. Seeing some one continue pregressing in the gospel.

Back in Montes Claros, we had an exciting sunday. We were fasting to prepare for MissionTour this week (Elder Gavarret of the seventy is coming) and we needed to go and get our investigator who was going to be confirmed. We got to church and he wasn´t there, so we went to go get him. After an exhausting walk in the sun we got back to church, had a wonderful meeting. The confirmation happened and it was all well. Then sunday night we went on a visit with the quorum president and his conselheiro to a less active man that we have been visiting. It was sucessful visit, now he and his family of about 15 will come back to church. It is so good to work with members.
THis picture is in the bathroom in the chapel. Our investigator (who needed to be confirmed that sunday) didn´t show up for church....so we went to get him. He lives a good 4 km from the chapel...and we were fasting. But it worked out in the end.

This week we will travel alot, but it´ll be worth it. I am excited.
Have A great week, love you all
